New FB700 Series Brings Bass to the Fore

Mitchell Guitars has added to its catalogue of high-end guitars with the FB700 Bass Series. The new range is divided by four-, five- and six-string models with each one featuring a double-cutaway mahogany body, a AAA quilt maple top and a five-piece maple/rosewood neck. To keep the vibe going, the hardware comes in sleek black nickel and includes a high-tensile strength fretwire, die-cast high-ratio tuning machines, a high-mass adjustable bridge and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL reduced-friction nut for rock-solid tuning. Tonal requirements are taken care of by dual premium MB4 paraffin-dipped alnico V humbucking pickups and an active 3-band EQ. “Today’s bassist is doing more than just holding down the bottom end,” says Product Manager Rick Gagliano. “Bass players are stepping forward as a melodic, driving part of the music, and we’re giving them the tools they need to stand out and be heard. The FB700 is a powerful, versatile instrument in a modern design that will shine on any stage.” You can learn more about Mitchell Guitars at www.mitchellguitars.com.
